Jesus in the Old Testament
Begins August 23 | Instructor, Tommy Counts
In addition to the hundreds of prophecies, God foretold of the promised Messiah in the form of types and shadows. Typology allows us to see the Savior in the people, places and objects within the stories of the Old Testament. Types and shadows in combination with prophecy create "circles of certainty", a doorway through which only the true Messiah can appear. As Jesus explained in Luke 24 "And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself...then their eyes were opened and they recognized him". Join us to explore our Savior on page after page of Old Testament.
This class meets in room #211.
The Power of the Gospel in Relationships
*Begins Oct. 25th | Instructor, Charlie Townsend
Jesus made an amazing statement in John 13:35. “By this all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” God’s love is the “branding” the “label” that points people to Jesus as it is demonstrated among His followers. That is powerful. Reaching the world with the gospel is all about relationships saturated by God’s love.
In this seminar, we will look at relational principles and dynamics that are embedded in the love of God.
- We will highlight the resources provided in Christ to have and maintain healthy relationships.
- We will examine the central principle of relationships, the primary commitment, the key attitude, the focused activity, and the great motivation for relationships in God’s Kingdom.
- We will find Biblical insight to repair and restore strained and broken relationships.
Come join us as we confirm the common statement, “It’s all about relationships”.
There is no cost for this class. This class meets in room #211.
